Thomas Anders Fanclub Party 1989

On Saturday, December 2nd, 1989 the waiting was over - the day you've been waiting for so long was there, the day of -THE FANCLUB PARTY

To be honest, l was a bit insecure about this party because l made really very different experiences with masses of fans. Right in the beginning those of you who were there met my friend Guido who was taking care of the whole organisation. Thanks God, because my schedule was hectic again and only on the day before l managed to get off from Los Angeles, where l was informed that my record company has just booked me on the SWF-TV-show "Glaskasten" - and, as almost always, everything there was going slower as planned and l came late to my own party! Thanks again for your patience!! But the waiting time obviously wasn't too bad, as most of the fans took the Chance to learn to know each other, as there were over 350 fans from really a lot parts of this worid, such as Cyprus, Greece, Portugal, Scandinavia and of course Switzerland, Austria and now, after the fall of Berlin's wall, even East-Germany!!!

Others took the Chance to get my latest records, T-Shirts and many more special things or even prooved their own talent as Uwe Hermanns, who sang two songs of one of his favourites, FANCY! As far as l heard, he did his Job very well! Maybe this encourages more of you for a performance on next year's party!

l was very happy that you all stayed really relaxed when finally Nora and l arrived. After the very fast ride from Ludwigshafen, where we recorded the TV-show l needed a short time relax myself betore l was ready for the thunderstorm of flashiights that started then!

Very soon we started a big discussion and Nora and l enjoyed giving you all the infos you wanted first hand and "live", about the split of Modern Talking and much more!

But most of all l of course l enjoyed the little "show" l gave playing piano and singing not my own material but that of my favourite Singers - songs that l listen to and sing privately. According to the applause you liked them a lot - reason enough to let you hear more in case we do a tour in your country!

As some fans had to leave very early to catch their train, l interr-rupted my little show for more than an hoiir to sign photos, records, T-shirts and much more. Every fan had the Chance to speak some words to us privately and get their own personal photos with Nora and me. l can teil you - Nora and l saw stars all night long, so many times we got photogra-phed. But really, it was worth every minute! (Normally the film manufacturers should at least buy us a drink -they must have earned a fortune on that day!!!)

l will not forget to inform you that we really enjoyed this party and are happily looking forward to next year's party. l'm also very happy with all the nice letters l got from all the peo-ple that were here and all - apart from one - loved the party! Finally l'd like to thank all the peo-ple helping us, PROSOUND Music Center for Piano and equipement, Claudius Volkert and his family, the parents who mostly had a very long way to drive but most of all I’d like to thank YOU, who have made this party possible!!!
