According to a recent letter of Thomas, his next fan-party will take place on Saturday, 5 February 2011 at the familiar to all the fans venue (www.kufa-koblenz.de) in Koblenz. At the same time this meeting will be followed by one more event – a live concert that the star will give in Nuerburgring (www.nuerburgring.de), that will take place on the following day, Sunday, 6 February 2011. The start is at 1 p.m. The tickets are already available and at the moment are being distributed only among the members of the Thomas Anders’ fan-club.
So, this time fans can reach two goals at the same time, which is good for the fans who have to travel from abroad. The price of the tickets and the information about the hotels that can be booked in advance will be announced later and also sent by e-mail to those who are subscribed to the fan-club newsletter. Thomas reminded to notify the fan-club if a fan had their e-mail changed, and fans who have not registered at the fan-club yet can easily do so in the respective section of the singer’s official site (www.thomas-anders.com).
Thomas Anders informed his fans "not from Russia" about the expected European release of his album "Strong": it is being prepared and as soon as the date of the release is confirmed the singer will notify about it on his recently renovated site (those who have not visited it yet should do it!) and via e-mail. Thomas mentioned that the Russian version of the album "Strong" had achieved "gold" status and thanked the fans who helped this, which increased the interest of fans from other countries.
On 18 April 2010 in the Kosmos Hall (Moscow) a Musical Radio Prize award ceremony “The Lord of “On The Air” 2010” will take place. It is given to the most popular and recognized musicians who are most often on air.
A special guest of the ceremony, the soloist of the legendary group "MODERN TALKING" Thomas Anders will personally receive the award of "The Lord of "On The Air" in the nomination "Radio-record" – foreign group and for the first time will perform a song in Russian! (according to the information received by the site www.thomas-anders.ru Thomas Anders’ management does not confirm the fact of performing the song in Russian).
The nominees of "The Lord of “On The Air” 2010" have been defined by the year’s radio-chart 2009 of the project TOPHIT.RU and the information about the rotations of the songs on the site MOSKVA.FM
For the first time this year there will be foreign artists nominated for "Radio-hit", also there are some new nominations "From Russia with love", "Newcomer of the year", "The stars of reality" and "Producer".
The jury includes the representatives of radio-stations – the prize-holders of Popov’s Award of the past years. The peculiarity of the award is the fact that it has not been given twice to anyone yet.
Thomas Anders has taken part in a quiz about animals
On 13 March Thomas Anders, Andrea Kiewel and Heiner Lauterbach took part in a TV quiz about animals “Quiz der Tiere” on the channel NDR.
The quiz was devoted to an educational purpose, telling about some phenomenal details about the animal world. The presenter Frank Elstner takes guests of the programme and the TV-audience into the kingdom of earth and sea animals, inviting the characters of his stories into the studio. This time, along with the stars of the Homo Sapiens kind, there were a puma, a yak, a guanaco and a shark, and a pelican called Tony watched over the presenter to obey the rules of the quiz.
In deep secrecy, in the Seychelles Sandra Lauer the singer and Olaf Menges, 42, have got married. Thomas Anders was amongst the close circle of people invited to this event.
The wedding took place on one of the smallest islands of the Seychelles. Anders, who has known Sandra for more than 25 years says: "It was undescribable! A paradise with lots of giant turtles and shining white sand! I would stay there with great pleasure!"
Sandra is fascinated with her second husband: "When I first saw him I immediately understood that I wanted to be with him!". The super-star of the 80-s met Olaf about three years ago at a party in Ibiza. Olaf came with her to Moscow when she arrived there to take part in the festival "Legends of Retro-FM" last autumn, and their first public appearance as man and wife was at the Echo Awards in Berlin.

Thomas Anders gave an interview to the German tabloid “Bild”
Bild:Thomas, do you have any contacts with your former wife Nora who followed you everywhere in the 80-s?
Thomas Anders: Yes, we call each other from time to time. At present she lives in Rheinland Pfalz. She hasn’t remarried and like before she enjoys her life, she travels a lot and does not have any particular occupation.
Bild:Where is you famous gold necklace that you always wore in public? Thomas Anders:The famous necklace with “NORA” is in a safe – I don’t wear it, it’s all left in the 80-s. Perhaps, one day I will give it to some museum of rock and pop-music. But I am not going to saw it up or throw it away.
Bild:Can you tell us the story of how this necklace appeared? Thomas Anders:Certainly. You know, it was just a spontaneous idea – Nora and I were lying by a pool in the South of France – and in half an hour a jeweler had our order to make a necklace from yellow gold that cost 50000 German Marks. When I wore it for the first time half of Germany was stunned! We did not expect such a reaction.
Bild:What did you do between the two periods of Modern Talking? Thomas Anders:I worked on solo projects that were a success. However, at the beginning of the 90-s the “techno” style of music became popular, but it was not my favorite. So, I left music for the time being and founded an agency that organized parties for high-rank business-people. Some times were hard.
Bild: Can you name some Modern Talking achievements? Thomas Anders:Modern Talking has always been a milk cow for the record company. With the sales of our discs we became real sponsors for BMG – we have got 423 gold discs! “You're My Heart, You're My Soul” was number one in 81 countries. 9 million copies of this single were sold! Our album "Back For Good", released in 1998 occupied the fifth place among the best selling discs in the world. 80000 copies were sold within an hour. I believe that “You're My Heart, You're My Soul” will always remain young and in 10 or 20 years other singers will be successful performing it.
Bild:You have probably earned quite an estate? Thomas Anders:From each Modern Talking song I will receive my share of royalties for 99 years. My son will continue earning money this way even after I die. Despite he plays the piano quite well even now, I would not like him to repeat my life: it is really hard to be compared to your famous father.
Bild:Can you imagine what your life and Dieter Bohlen’s life could have been if it had not been for Modern Talking? Thomas Anders:Dieter and I must be grateful for having Modern Talking in our lives. If we had not met he would not have been in the jury of DSDS (Germany seeks for a superstar), but would have probably been among the usual clerks in a record company. And I could have been an ordinary pop-artist and one day would have probably lost the interest of the audience.
Bild:What difference do you see in the era of Modern Talking in the 80-s and the comeback at the end of the 90-s? Thomas Anders:In 1998 I was a different person: I was fully grown-up and did not allow the record company to make me do something I did not want. I had my own opinion.
Bild:How did the critics and your fans react to Modern Talking’s comeback in 1988? Thomas Anders:We rehabilitated ourselves with the comeback and became a cult group. In Germany some “stars” come down quickly, but when they gloriously come back even critics cannot do anything.
Bild:How is your career going on now? Thomas Anders:This year I am going to release an album with new songs. The album is nearly ready and will appear first in Russia where I still have a great amount of fans, and in Germany the release is planned for summer.
Recently the site www.donaukurier.de has published an article about Thomas Anders, where apart from the facts known by the fans there was information about the recording of the new album, a show, where he takes part and his preferences in wines...
To record his first album for four years Thomas used the service of the record studio Flatliners (Ingolstadt, Bavaria), that is also known for its work with such stars as Peter Schilling and Lou Bega. The studio belongs to a local citizen Tom Müller. Christian Büttner and Marcello Pagin are helping him to work on the album. "We recorded a few fragments and offered Thomas Anders to take a look at them", - Müller says. "I liked them a lot and they will match the style of the new album, containing compositions from all over the world" – the singer adds. However, before the international release takes place (in May 2010), the songs should be mixed and mastered in New-York.
Also Thomas Anders mentioned the show, starting soon on the Russian TV-channel ÑÒÑ, where he is going to be the head of the jury. In his opinion the format of the show “Germany seeks for a superstar” headed by Thomas’ ex-partner Dieter Bohlen that is broadcasted by RTL would not have any success in Russia: “Russian people would not accept anything like this” – thinks Thomas.
At the end on the interview the subject of cooking was discussed, as it is quite important for the singer – it’s well known that Anders has such a hobby. Thomas especially noted that he enjoys Grauburgunder (wine), and, if food corresponds, he cannot refuse some good red wine, for example Pomerol.

Thomas Anders could have not been in Modern Talking!
”I should have been Thomas Anders” says David Rienau, 48, revealing the secret prior to the 25 th anniversary of the great Modern Talking era around the world.
In the mid-eighties David could have become the second member of Talking. “I knew my goal in life starting from the age of 15 – I dreamt to be a playboy” - Rienau says in his interview to the “Bild”. He still remembers that dinner in “Wattkorn” restaurant of his friend Michael Wollenberg in 1984, when fate brought him and Dieter Bohlen together and his dream about a luxurious life nearly became a reality. “Dieter invited me into the studio to try recording “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul” – David continues his story? – and he even offered to be the second half of the duo Modern Talking”. But Rienau lost his chance: “I did not find the song to be outstanding and refused his offer”.
Two weeks later Dieter invited Thomas Anders to work with his and together they sold nearly 120 million discs. “This was the biggest mistake in my life. It is just terrible” – concludes 48-year old failed star of musical show-business. Later Davis still tried to do something in music with a composition “Latin Lover”, however, his main success was to be a women’s hero – due to his mutual friends he meets such people as Bon Jovi, Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger (he is with him in the photo). Nowadays he is the manager of actresses Sophie Schütt and Franziska Weisz.
We can only imagine whether Modern Talking would have been so popular and whether we would have known about Thomas if Rienau had been more insistent!
