Twenty
questions for Thomas Anders on Sunday.
Today is
Sunday...
Where do you wake
up?
Hopefully, not in the hotel. The best and the most expensive hotel
cannot be as good as home!
What is on your bedside table?
If I’m in the hotel – my watch and a self-phone; if I’m at home – my wife
and son’s picture, a book, a glasses for reading, my lucky pfennig and now,
in the winter – a pack of tissues.
And who is lying beside you?
My son Alexander and Claudia.
What do you need to be completely happy?
I need to win in the selection round of “Eurovision-2006” in Hamburg on March,
9.
Do you consider yourself as a darling of fortune, or you could become
what you are by your own efforts?
Everyone can become the darling of fortune, if he will aspire to
success, labor at and strive for it.
The
Sunday ring.
If I hear it, I think...
...that everything will be all right.
And what kind of music are you going to listen to today?
Jazz! I like Nancy Wilson and Diane Schuur.
When did you pray last time?
It was yesterday.
God is...?
...Everywhere.
A human being is...?
...something much more insignificant than he thinks.
The
roast meat on Sunday.
Its scent makes me...
...finish my meal! I don’t think it’s appetizing to have the whole flat permeated
with smell of grease and strong spices. Our Sunday breakfasts are long and
thorough, so the lunch is not an issue for us.
Family is...
...the secure feeling and sincere affection. Nothing has any value
without it. In our family we’re very attached to each other, and we try to
stay together.
Motherland is...
...the place where after catching a cold you can lie down, wrapped
in the soft and warm blanket, and sup the hot chicken soup while watching
the old serial “Star Trek”.
Germany means for me...
...more and more. Of course, it depends on my traveling around the
world; those who go abroad feel the preciousness of their motherland much
more than those who almost stay at home. I would be very proud to win the
Grand Prix selection round and to become German representative in Athens.
Whom are you going to invite to your last party, and what are you going
to cook?
I’ll invite my family and my closest friends. It would be sausages with karri
sauce and champagne. However, it will happen, I suppose, at least in 45 years.
The
Sunday walk.
Where?
In the forest. The busy parents would find silence and repose there,
and the curious child would discover so many interesting things! He would
not be bored at all.
What was the most amazing trip in your life?
When I returned home from the hospital with Claudia and my newborn
son Alexander.
And what was the hardest trip?
Every visit to dentist is the hardest trip for me! I wouldn’t like to think
about it more than 10 seconds. Next question, please!
What is the most precious strain of your best friend?
Trust and loyalty. We know each other since the school days, and
we’ll sit together on the bench in Mosel even when we’ll become retirees.
Did someone ever save you?
Fortunately, my life has never been in danger yet.
